Understanding Temperature SettingsUpdated 3 hours ago

Your Arctic Warriors chiller allows you to set and maintain a specific water temperature using the control panel or the mobile app. Understanding how temperature settings work helps you achieve consistent cooling, avoid confusion, and use the system efficiently. This guide explains how temperature control works and what to expect during operation.

1. Current Water Temperature vs Target Temperature

There are two temperature values shown on the screen or app.

  • Current Water Temperature
This shows the real time temperature of the water exiting the chiller.
  • Target Temperature
This is the temperature you want the water to reach.

The chiller will continue cooling until the current temperature reaches the target temperature.

2. How to Adjust the Target Temperature

You can adjust the target temperature using

  • the control panel buttons, Touch Panel or
  • the mobile app slider

To adjust

  • increase or decrease the temperature gradually
  • allow time for the system to respond
  • avoid rapid large changes

Temperature changes take time, especially with larger tubs or warm starting water.

3. Temperature Adjustment Using the App

In the app

  • drag the white dot left or right to set the target temperature
  • the setting updates instantly
  • the chiller begins cooling automatically if needed

The app shows both the current temperature and the target temperature for easy monitoring.

4. Temperature Adjustment Using the Control Panel

On the control panel

  • press the up or down buttons
  • confirm the target temperature on the display
  • the chiller activates cooling mode automatically

Both the app and the control panel control the same system. Changes made in one will reflect in the other.

5. Understanding Cooling Behavior

The chiller does not cool instantly.

Cooling speed depends on

  • tub size
  • starting water temperature
  • ambient temperature
  • airflow around the chiller
  • water flow strength

Larger tubs and warmer environments require more time to reach lower temperatures.

6. Minimum Temperature Limits

Your chiller has a minimum temperature limit to protect the system.

  • The lowest setting is approximately 3°C (37°F)
  • The system may prevent further cooling below this point
  • This protects internal components from freezing

Attempting to set the temperature lower than the limit will not force additional cooling.

7. Temperature Units (Fahrenheit and Celsius)

You can switch between temperature units in the app or settings menu.

To change units

  • open the settings page
  • select temperature type
  • choose Fahrenheit or Celsius

This does not affect performance, only how values are displayed.

8. Why the Chiller May Pause Cooling

The chiller may temporarily stop cooling if

  • the target temperature is reached
  • water flow is weak
  • ventilation is insufficient
  • the system needs to protect itself

Once conditions stabilize, cooling will resume automatically.

9. Expect Normal Temperature Fluctuations

Small temperature changes are normal.

You may notice

  • slight increases when the lid is opened
  • minor fluctuations during use
  • gradual cooling rather than instant drops

This is normal behavior and does not indicate a problem.

10. Tips for Better Temperature Control

For the best results

  • keep the lid closed when not in use
  • maintain clean filters
  • ensure strong water flow
  • place the chiller in a cool, ventilated area
  • avoid direct sunlight on the tub

These steps help the system maintain stable temperatures.

When to Contact Support

Contact our support team if

  • the temperature does not change at all
  • the display does not respond to adjustments
  • the chiller cools but stops far above the target
  • the temperature reading appears inaccurate

Summary

Understanding temperature settings helps you get the most from your cold plunge. The chiller cools based on a target temperature, adjusts gradually, and operates within safe limits. Proper airflow, clean filters, and patience are key to consistent performance.
