App Not ConnectingUpdated an hour ago
If your Arctic Warriors chiller is not connecting to the app, is not being detected, or disconnects during setup, this is usually related to WiFi settings, phone permissions, or pairing mode. This guide walks you through the correct steps to resolve app connection issues using the Smart Life App.
1. Confirm You Are Using a 2.4 GHz WiFi Network
Your chiller only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. It will not connect to 5 GHz networks.
Before setup, make sure
- your router has a 2.4 GHz network enabled
- your phone is connected to 2.4 GHz WiFi
- you are not connected to a 5 GHz network
- the WiFi name and password are correct
If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network, temporarily separate them or disable 5 GHz during setup.
2. Enable Bluetooth and Location on Your Phone
The Smart Life App requires both Bluetooth and Location Services during setup.
Make sure
- Bluetooth is turned ON
- Location Services are turned ON
- the Smart Life App has permission to access both
These are required for device discovery. You can disable them after setup if desired.
3. Place Your Phone Close to the Chiller
During pairing, your phone must be close to the chiller.
For best results
- stand next to the unit
- avoid walls or long distances
- keep other wireless devices away
Being too far away can cause pairing to fail.
4. Put the Chiller Into WiFi Pairing Mode
The chiller must be in pairing mode before the app can detect it.
To enter pairing mode
- press the WiFi button on the control panel
- wait until the WiFi indicator starts blinking
If the light is solid or not blinking, the chiller is not in pairing mode.
5. Add the Device in the Smart Life App
Follow these steps carefully
- Open the Smart Life App
- Tap Add Device
- Allow the app to scan for nearby devices
- Select the detected chiller
- Enter your 2.4 GHz WiFi password
- Wait for the setup process to complete
Do not close the app or move away during setup.
6. Check Your WiFi Password and Router Settings
Connection may fail if
- the WiFi password is incorrect
- the network is hidden
- the router uses incompatible security settings
For best compatibility, use WPA or WPA2 security.
7. Restart and Try Again
If the connection fails
- close the Smart Life App
- restart your phone
- restart your WiFi router
- re enter pairing mode on the chiller
Then repeat the setup steps from the beginning.
8. Avoid Using Mobile Hotspots
Mobile hotspots are not recommended for initial setup.
Hotspots may
- disconnect frequently
- provide unstable signals
- cause pairing to fail
Use a standard home WiFi network whenever possible.
9. Check WiFi Signal Strength
Weak WiFi signals can prevent the app from connecting.
Make sure
- the chiller is within range of the router
- there are no thick walls blocking the signal
- the signal is stable in the setup location
If needed, move the chiller or use a WiFi extender.
